Nature and lifestyle Tic Streamer DrWD40 showed off his impressive pet camera, allowing subscribers to dispense treats to his dog at will.
Pet characteristics are common across Tic and other streaming platforms, as dogs, cats, or other streamer animals are often used as emotes, profile pictures, or other forms of channel branding. Naturally, this led to the rise of the pet cam, a camera scene entirely dedicated to showing the streamer’s chosen pet. While many have embraced the pet camera, few have been as innovative as the DrWD40’s camera.
DrWD40 is an outdoor enthusiast, as his broadcast often revolves around cycling, bird watching, metal detecting, or other activities. Recently, the streamer hosted a multi-day charity fundraiser to fight climate change. Gaining a wave of new viewers and subscribers, the IRL streamer took the opportunity to flaunt his rather elaborate dog cam.
Miles from home, DrWD40 switched to the pet camera of his dog, Watson, who was sound asleep on his couch. Remotely, the Twitch streamer was able to hand out four treats, one for each recent subscription to his channel. Throwing the treats virtually, real dog treats fell on the floor. Naturally, Watson immediately sprang into action to reap the rewards of his owner’s new subscriptions.
While viewers were thrilled with the reveal of DrWD40’s unique and innovative dog camera, Watson seemed to be the most thrilled of them all. By the end of the stream, Watson had received many goodies from new stream subscribers, likely pleased with the generosity of the audience.
