Sandra Williams (Yantone Welch) Roush, 79, ascended to heaven on January 24, 2022, just before her 80th birthday.

Born January 28, 1942 in Los Angeles, California to the late Lura Pauline (Williams) Welch and the late Albert Yantone, she spent much of her childhood on her great-grandparents’ farm in Greencastle, Indiana, as well as in the middle of the city. lights of Columbus, Ohio.

Dreamer, hard worker, rebellious and in love with horses and all animals, big and small, Sandra believed in the goodness of all living beings. From birdwatching and horseback riding to discovering nature’s beauty in rolling farmland, she was always at home when animals and nature were nearby.

After marrying her late husband, Gary L. Roush, in Clarksville, TN, she moved to the heart of Ostrander and later Richwood, Ohio to raise her children as a homemaker while working as an associate. of production with Ranco, Multicon, then Flexible over a period of 30 years.

After retirement, she enjoyed her pets, baking, bingo, crosswords and crossword puzzles, watched reruns of Little House on the Prairie, being a Red Hatter, cheering on Ohio football teams State Buckeyes and North Union High School, traveling to Japan and Italy. , and the world stopped to watch the Kentucky Derby.

A proud mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she reveled in sharing the latest events and accomplishments of all the young hearts in her life because she was young at heart. Her family was eager to enjoy her confectionery creations, peanut butter fudge, buckeyes and her buttery cinnamon bites made from leftover homemade pie crusts.

Anyone who knew her commented on her sweet and kind demeanor and the fact that she always came from a place of acceptance. She always greeted everyone she met with a smile and never said a harsh word about anyone.

She is predeceased by her husband, Gary L. Roush, and her daughter, Cindra Darlene Cowen. Surviving are his children: Todd (Dorothy) Roush of Richwood, Sherre’ DeMao of Denver, NC. Grandchildren: Cassandra (Mark) Brooks, Amaria DeMao (Chris) Seidle, Savannah DeMao, Kristina Smith, Aaron Roush, Michael Roush and Jeremy (Adison) Roush. Great-grandchildren: Emma Grace Brooks, Annabelle Brooks, Gracelynn Roush, Hudson Roush and Jedidiah Roush.

Memorial services will be held on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood. Pastor Joseph Rhea will officiate. Friends can call one hour before the service beginning at 2 p.m. at the Richwood Funeral Home.
