Prepare for the hike! The Seattle Trailhead Direct shuttle service returns in June.
Trailhead Direct, a transit service to the trails, will be back on June 5, King County Metro announced Tuesday.
The popular shuttle service will take passengers to the Issaquah Alps and Mount Si on weekends and holidays until September 26.
According to King County Metro, masks will be required on board and in the holding areas. The vehicles are sanitized daily and have security bulkheads and upgraded air filters installed.
The service was first launched in 2017 and has grown in popularity every year since.
The shuttle bus to the Mt Si, Mt Tenerife and Little Si trailheads can be picked up at the bus stop at Broadway and Denny Way in front of the Capitol Hill Link tram station. The shuttle will also stop at First Hill, Eastgate Freeway Station and North Bend Park & Ride.
For service to Margaret’s Way, Chirico Trail-Poo Poo Point, Squak Mountain, High School Trail, and Easy Sunset Way, passengers can board at the Mount Baker Transit Center. Stops include Eastgate Freeway Station and Issaquah Transit Center.
Hikers are advised to check the trail conditions and make sure a route is open before making any plans. Trailhead Direct provides access to countless trails ranging from easy to difficult.
