‘Nightmare stuff’: Chinese tourist let himself hang from 330-foot-high glass bridge as wind blows over its panels
A tourist in China got stranded on a 330-foot-high glass-bottomed bridge in China after being damaged by high winds. The man was left behind while the bridge hatches were blown away.
The man was visiting the Glass Bottom Bridge, a popular tourist attraction at a resort town in Piyan Mountain in Jilin Province, when the incident took place. These glass bridges, walkways and slides are great attractions in China.
Details of the incident, along with photos, were posted on the Chinese social media platform Weibo, where it managed to garner more than 4 million likes. The incident quickly caught on on Twitter when user Matt Knight shared it on the microblogging site.

The terrifying footage shows the man hanging from one of the bridge’s railings after high winds of up to 90 mph blew some of the glass panels on Friday, May 7, the Daily mail reported. According to the tabloid, the man was stranded for a brief period before being returned to safety with the help of firefighters, police, forestry and tourist workers.
