MEQUON, Wis. – Mitchell W. Ticoras passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2022.

Born September 13, 1931 in Warren, he was the son of William “Basil” and Sofia Ticoras. He married Dionisia “Diana” Vasilion on March 7, 1965. She predeceased him on December 24, 2010.

The surviving children are William (Betty) Ticoras and Sofia Hamner; and grandchildren, Mitchell and Christopher Ticoras and Maria and Lydia Hamner.

After the death of his wife, Mitchell found a special friend and travel partner in Diane Kirchen, who became a family member.

Mitchell graduated from Youngstown State University in 1955 with a degree in accounting. He first ran the family grocery market in Warren until it closed. In 1973 he went to work with the US Treasury Department in Milwaukee and moved to Thiensville, Wis.

Mitchell really enjoyed the travels and the history behind the regions, the bird watching and all things train related. Most importantly, he loved his family and friends, especially his four grandchildren, for whom he would have done anything.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., with a service at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, February 28, 2022, at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation, 9400 W. Congress St., Milwaukee, Wis.

Interment will be in Pinelawn Cemetery. Lunch will follow at Alioto. Instead of flowers, beloved memorials of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation.
