Leeds United fan believes he spotted key development in Javi Galan transfer saga
Leeds United’s name has come up in recent days and weeks as the summer transfer window gets closer and closer.
Considering Leeds’ stature and the fact that the club are looking for a left-back, this has made the Whites an easy target for agents and outlets to claim transfer interest.
What we do know is that Leeds United operate in the transfer market like most clubs – shrouded in secrecy.
Clubs don’t like to reveal their primary goals, as this would cause sales teams to raise their prices for a player in demand and could spark a bidding war with other interested parties.
Huesca full-back Javi Galan has, however, been named a potential replacement for Ezgjan Alioski at Leeds United, after impressing the relegated La Liga side this quarter.
Reports in Spain indicate Sevilla remain firmly interested, as well as Galan’s announced release clause cut in half due to the club’s relegation from northeast Spain from the elite.
As a result, with Leeds’ combination being in the market for a left-back, Victor Orta’s ties to Spain and Sevilla, and the affordability, have made Galan a name among Leeds United fans.
In the meantime, a sharp-eyed Leeds United fan has spotted something that could indicate Galan’s future may not be decided for some time to come.
Posting their findings on Twitter, @VidukaEra tweeted a screenshot from an Instagram story.
In this image, Javi Galan was pictured alongside friends in Chichen Itza in Mexico.
The historic site is located in Central America and is a popular tourist spot.
This suggests that Galan is currently on vacation following his 2020/21 exploits and the likelihood of his future being decided in the next few days remains slim, as long as he’s on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean.
@VidukaEra’s tweet referred to reports this weekend that Galan had “packed his bags” ahead of an imminent transfer to Leeds.
Due to the nature of transfer gossip, it was unlikely that any outlet would have such inside information, but nonetheless it caused a frenzy among Leeds fans.

One thing will be decided at Leeds United this month, and that is the future of Ezgjan Alioski whose contract expires at the end of June.
He is currently in international service with North Macedonia, but has the option of remaining a Leeds United player, with a contract offer presented to the 29-year-old.
If he decides to move on and test the waters elsewhere, Galan just might be a player Leeds will focus their efforts on acquiring.
What is certain, however, is that if Leeds go after the man from Huesca, they will have done their due diligence long before any reports of bags being packed started to emerge.
