Earldine Ruth “Deani” Moore, 93, a resident of the Allegheny Lutheran Home, died Friday. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Earl and Martha (Beard) Myers.
In 1959 she married J. Robert Moore who predeceased her on January 28, 2008.
Deanie graduated from Altoona High School and then later from the first class of Altoona Beauty School. She then operated a salon at her home.
Deanie loved nature and the outdoors, especially flowers and bird watching. She was a homemaker who always put the needs of her family above her own and cherished the time spent with them.
She had a strong and passionate faith in God and was a member of 58th Street United Methodist Church in Altoona where she taught Sunday school in the children’s department and later in an adult class.
Surviving are two children, Lawrence W. “Larry” Frey of Altoona and Amy D. Ruggles (Michael) of East Freedom; four grandchildren: Larry Frey (Kim), Lori Hennaman (Jake), Lindsee Ruggles and Erin Porta (Aaron). Five great-grandchildren also survive: Ethan, Hailey and Courtney Frey, Cole Hennaman and Violet Porta.

To celebrate Mrs. Moore’s life, there will be a private service held for her family. Burial will be in Alto-Rest Park, Altoona.
