Black Crowes reissue ‘Shake Your Money Maker’ album in luxury box
The Black Crowes, the American rock band behind hit singles such as “Hard to Handle”, will re-release their debut album, “Shake Your Money Maker”, as a multi-platform luxury set in honor of their 30th anniversary.
This deluxe set of the album will be available for purchase starting February 21, although fans currently have the option to pre-order if they wish.
The “Shake Your Money Maker” deluxe album set includes merchandise such as a reproduction of a show flyer touting the band’s original name, Mr. Crowe’s Garden, as well as a 20 book liner. pages with notes taken by Rolling Stone journalism David Fricke.
In addition, the set will include three unreleased studio recordings; two unreleased demos from the band’s era under the name Mr. Crowe’s Garden; and an unreleased 1990 recording of a concert in Atlanta, Georgia.
The Black Crowes were first created as Mr. Crowe’s Garden in the mid-1980s by brothers Chris and Rich Robinson in Georgia. The group’s early years saw them perform at iconic venues such as the CBGB in New York City, ultimately gaining worldwide attention with the initial release of “Shake Your Money Maker”.
The album eventually landed fourth on the Billboard 200 chart and now holds a multi-platinum certification.
Audio reports With the release of this luxury set, the Black Crowes will embark on a reunion tour celebrating the album’s anniversary starting June 27 in Austin, TX.
