GTA 6 Development Footage Leaks Online, Then Disappears, But Not Before We Already Knew What It Showed
The highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6 development footage leaked online over the weekend, only to be swiftly removed. But, despite the excitement, this leak didn't reveal much that we didn't already know. In fact, we've seen parts of it before in an official screenshot.
Here's the deal: A developer who has worked on several Rockstar games uploaded an animation reel to Vimeo. It contained three brief snippets of development footage labeled as GTA 6. These clips, showing animations of a male character renting a bike and a female character exiting a pickup truck, were quickly taken down, but not before they made their way around the internet.
So, what's the big deal? Well, these clips are nothing new. We've seen the bike rental system in an official GTA 6 screenshot, and we know you can rent bikes and jump off pickup trucks in the game. But, hey, it's still cool to see these animations in action, even if they're not groundbreaking.
Let's remember that the final game will feature beautifully detailed and high-quality animations, just like we've come to expect from Rockstar. And, of course, there's always the viral AI-generated gameplay leak to consider, which, despite being a social experiment, got millions of views. But, for now, we're left waiting for the official trailer 3 and more details about the game's delay.
