Gemini AI Updates: Organizing 'My Stuff' into Media, Documents & Purchases (2026)

Gemini is set to reorganize your creations into a handful of practical new categories.

TL;DR

  • Gemini stores everything you produce with the app in a dedicated “My Stuff” section within your Gemini history.
  • The feature may soon be subdivided into media, documents, and purchases.
  • Gemini is also preparing a revamped input box design and new haptic feedback.

What’s the best thing you’ve made with Gemini? A Nano Banana image edit? A hefty automated spreadsheet? Perhaps a comprehensive research report? Whenever you want to review your past work, the “My Stuff” area in Gemini history is the go-to. While it already serves as a convenient single archive, Google appears to be refining it further by improving content organization.

Examining the latest tweaks in version 16.50.55.sa.arm64 of Google’s Android app reveals a few Gemini-specific updates, centered around a new My Stuff layout. The current view shows all media grouped together on the left:

With the new build, we get a sneak peek at a redesigned layout on the right. It’s not publicly visible yet, but it hints that Google plans to separate images and videos from Gemini-generated documents.

That makes a lot of sense. But what about “Purchases”? While we can’t be certain until the full screen is visible, it seems likely this section could track items you’ve bought through Gemini’s AI-assisted shopping experience that Google introduced last month.

Beyond the My Stuff redesign, a couple of smaller changes are anticipated. For example, Gemini’s input box may stop appearing as a bottom-floating card. Instead, Google appears to be testing a detached input area, though the current test build shows icons placed a bit too close to the edges as designers finalize the look.

When you submit a prompt, Gemini is also adding fresh haptic feedback to gently confirm receipt and to signal when processing is nearing completion. Based on the latest progress, these cues seem intended mainly for the Gemini app itself and may not appear with the Gemini overlay. Of course, these details are still evolving and could shift before any official release.

⚠️ An APK teardown can forecast features that might reach a service in the future, but such predicted additions may not always appear in public releases.
