Are you calling “To your left”? If so, you are holy! – Twin towns
Hi to all the cyclists on our hiking trails who call us “to your left”, and thank you for teaching your children the same courtesy.
Some of us seniors don’t have the right hearing to hear bikers coming from behind.
You will always receive a “thank you” and a smile from me.

Sainted, Sainted and Tainted
Sainted: St. Paul Eye Clinic and Dr James George for completing and faxing a B65 Vision Report to the MN / DVS. I didn’t have an appointment that day, but the receptionists graciously helped me by presenting the form to my busy eye doctor and then seeing that the signed form was faxed to the state. They also gave me a copy of the document.
Sainted: Midwestern surgery to remove my cataracts and implant corrective lenses. I love my new eyes!
Tainted: Minnesota Department of Public Safety, Driver and Vehicle Services for numerous errors. First, I have not received this vision report form. Either it was not sent to me or it was lost in the mail. My address has not changed for nine years. Why there is a need for the form is questionable. On August 28, I received a form letter indicating that a form of an indeterminate nature had not been returned. I had to drive downtown to the DMV the following Monday to find out what the exact paperwork was required and begin the process of filling it out. Second, I trust the staff at the eye clinic. If they said they faxed it, they faxed it. Third, I can trust my doctor, but I don’t trust the state. I called the automated DMV phone number on September 15th and found that my driving privileges had been canceled. Fourth, when does the DMV plan to notify me – before or after I leave for a trip over 3,000 miles to Canada next week?
As a licensed driver for 44 years, I have only had two accidents and no movement violations. My double amputee ex-husband relies on me to do his shopping for him, which includes grocery shopping, hardware shipments, pharmacy, mail, etc.
In my humble opinion, the state must correct its mistakes in a timely manner. Maybe he would send the required forms by certified mail instead of regular mail. I don’t want to pay to reinstate my driver’s license and if I have to take a driving test, it is impossible to visit my sister in BC until next spring!

During the Simley vs. Hill Murray football game on September 10, I was disgusted to see HIll Murray fans throwing things, booing and yelling obscenities at the Simley Marching Band during halftime.
Apparently, an education in a private school does not include kindness, respect and sportsmanship.
Simley Marching Band professionally and expertly continued their show despite the horrific behavior of visiting fans.
Gross, Hill Murray. You can do better.

I would like to “holy” someone at the Great Minnesota Get Back Together on Saturday September 4th.
Somehow I left my wallet behind, I think in front of the Palais des Beaux-Arts. When I got home and couldn’t find it, I went through all the cards and canceled them and ordered replacements. I also sent an email to the lost and found.
On Thursday I received an email from the lost and found department of the fair. My wallet was in their possession, I picked it up on Friday while waiting for the shell of a wallet. It was all there!
To the good soul who found it and found the lost and found them, THANKS, THANKS, THANKS !!! Hope you see this and know how wonderful you are.
